Marshall H. Johnson, age 92, of Troy Twp, passed away peacefully Monday evening, March 13th, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on the family farm in Troy Twp on May 18th, 1924 to the late Roy W. and Ruby (Bundy) Johnson. Marshall is now reunited with his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy "Pennie" (Niedhammer) Johnson, who died in 2011.

He enjoyed being a lifelong farmer, baling hay, making maple syrup, and doing maintenance on his tractors. Marshall also loved working with horses as he helped at the Red Raider Horse Trails in Russell Twp, where he met Pennie. He also worked at the South Horse Farm on Bundysburg Road in Middlefield and at his daughter, Carol's, Horse Stable in Pataskala, OH. Marshall will also be remembered for his warm heart, great story-telling and sound fatherly advice to his family and friends.

Marshall will be greatly missed by: children, Harold (Cathy) Johnson, Lois Mueller, Alice (Mike) DeMas, Carol Baird; grandchildren, Kevin (Alberta) Johnson, Rosemarie (Mark) Pfouts, Chris (Lyndsee) Loucks, Katie (Matt) Miller, Steven (fiancee Mary Ann) Tackett, Alex Baird; great-grandchildren, Raymond Johnson, Tristan Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Chance Corey, Philip Loucks, Lyrisa Loucks; and many friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents: wife, Pennie; and son-in-laws, Steve Mueller and Jay Baird.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A.M. ON SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH, 2017 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Rev. Doug Taylor officiating. Marshall's final resting place will be next to his wife, Pennie, in Overlook Cemetery, Parkman, OH.
