Pre-Arrangements
At Best Funeral Home, we understand that during our lives we plan for many situations such as education, having a family, vacations, weddings and especially our retirement. As part of the planning and being prepared throughout our lives, we purchase insurance to help us in various situations that may occur such as accidents, earthquakes, fire, floods and theft. However, many neglect to plan their funeral simply because the thought of knowing one day we may not be here is a realization of our own mortality. We should also consider the pre-planning of our funeral service as it not only lets our survivors know what our wishes are, but it will also help our families through their time of bereavement.
One of our directors will be more than happy to come to the comfortable surroundings of your home and discuss what funeral options may be available at no obligation. Making a pre-planned funeral arrangement is simply recording your wishes down on paper, collecting personal information, your choice of service and/or merchandise, and any other selections. We then keep your pre-planned arrangement on file until the time of death. When death occurs, one call to Best Funeral Home is all that is needed to begin the funeral process. We will carry out all the arrangements according to your wishes, and the benefits from your pre-paid plan will be sent directly to us to cover the final expense.
The main benefit of pre-planning a funeral is that it removes the burden of having your family make difficult decisions at a time when they are experiencing much grief and stress. You can select the services and merchandise according to your wishes, and spiritual beliefs; as well as for your financial means, either by pre-paying for the services or having the monies set aside via a payment option. In addition, you will have the piece of mind knowing your arrangements were taken care of, for those you love - at today's prices - not tomorrow's.
At Best Funeral Home there is no membership fee or filing charges to record your wishes for your services. There is no obligation for sitting down to discuss which option works best for you. In fact, we strongly suggest you meet with one of our directors and then compare our services and prices with others.

Funded Guaranteed Pricing:
- Single Payment Option
- Purchase price is guaranteed
- Pays 100% of agreed funeral price from date of purchase
- Interest increases annually to offset inflation
- Transferable in case you relocate
Multi-Payment Option
- Purchase price is guaranteed
- Plans may include monthly payments over a 3, 5, or 10 year period
- Interest increases annually to offset inflation
- Requires a minimal monthly service fee
- Does not pay 100% immediately from date of purchase. (If death occurs prior to two years from the date of purchase, Homesteader’s Life Company will pay a portion of the funeral bill depending on the number of days since the original contract was signed.)
- Transferable in case you relocate
Funded Non-Guaranteed Pricing:
Annuity Plan Option
- Purchase price is not guaranteed
- Payments may be made at any time or even set up via bank draft for as little as $10 per month
- Pays face value (plus interest) of what has been placed into this account towards funeral bill.
- Interest increases at a daily rate
- No obligation to continue making payments
- Once selected, cannot be converted to a funded pre-planned plan.
- Transferable in case you relocate.
