I accompany Messiah Choruses and have known Walter these last 40+ years at both Lake Erie College and the Geauga Messiah choirs. Even though we only saw each other at Sunday rehearsals, Walter and I developed a loving comradry and lasting friendship. He entertained those of us who could hear his hilarious, dry humored quips and asides ( namely the tenor section and me at the piano) and his smiling presence and helpful actions to many were appreciated by all. We had a great time talking politics this last year and a half as we shared similar views. I received many a post on email that he thought would educate me on certain topics-he was right. I express sincere condolences to Walter’s family and pray for strength to help them cope with this loss. But I just know where Walter is now...he is in the tenor section of the heavenly angel choir not only adding his voice to the glorious sound, but cracking up those sitting around him. See ya at rehearsal ,Walter,whenever I get called home. Much love, Joy
