Mike trained horses for me back in the 1980s. I have been involved in harness racing for 45 years, and I have never met a nicer person in the business than Mike. I am very sad to hear of his passing. He was an excellent horseman, but an even better person.

I remember many good times training horses at Burton Fairgrounds probably 40 years ago. Rest In Peace, Mike.

A lifelong friend from the moment we met in High School. After the war he pulled me up from the abyss and saved me from myself. I then tried to do the same for him during a life of highs and lows. We played together, laughed together, cried together. It's a long life of stories that can't be recounted here. Miss you man.

Man of few words and always a good listener, you set an example that many of us would be prudent to follow. Talented drummer and free-thinking individual that you were, Mike, you still had the ability to virtually hide in public thanks to your reserved manner.
You were king of the road in your 396-cubic-inch Chevy Chevelle, yet you somehow maintained your humility. Always. We did share some good times, good friends, and good tunes. You will be missed, my friend...
