Michael Persin

Michael Persin, 63, of Huntsburg, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday evening, September 18th, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Cleveland, OH on January 17th, 1953 to the late Louis and Mary (Quinn) Persin. Michael later married Alice Scott on January 22nd, 1979.

He was a 1972 graduate of Cardinal High School, a retired truck driver and most recently a driver for the Geauga County Transit. Michael is well known for being a drummer is several local bands. He also enjoyed working on cars and keeping up with his yard work and house. Michael was passionate about being the caretaker for his family and friends. He was the person who would always help someone in need without asking or expecting anything in return.

Michael's kind heart and compassion will deeply be missed by: his loving wife of 37 years, Alice; daughters, Kim (Jose) Reyes, Deborah (Donnie Nicholl) Persin, Jennifer (Doug) Gibson; grandsons, Jose Daniel Reyes and Carter Michael Nicholl; brother, Steve Persin; sister, Joanne Howerton; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Per Michael's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's name are requested to be made to: Hospice of the Western Reserve Contribution, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
