Helen C. (Polomsky) Towne

Helen C. Towne (nee Polomsky), 98, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, December 15th, 2016 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Nelson Twp, OH on January 14th, 1918. Helen is now reunited with her husband, Pearl "Pat" Towne, who died in 1981. She grew up in Nelson Twp and worked in the cafeteria at Middlefield Schools and also at Johnson Rubber before opening her own business with Pat, Lakeside Tavern Carry-Out, in Madison-on-the-Lake. Helen enjoyed her Wednesday lady gatherings at the Wendy's in Madison.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Dennis (Jean) Towne of Troy Twp; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Roman of Middlefield; and many friends. Helen is preceded in death by: her parents, Valentine and Elizabeth (Loyko) Polomsky; husband, Pat; 8 brothers; and 3 sisters.

A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A.M., WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28TH, 2016, AT ST. LUCY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16280 KINSMAN RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Father John Burkley officiating. Helen's final resting place will be next to Pat in Middlefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name are requested to be made to the Geauga County Hunger Task Force, 209 Center St. #H, Chardon, OH 44024.
