Joe "Sawmill Joe" J.S. Miller

Joe "Sawmill Joe" J.S. Miller, 74, of Burton, passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, September 14th, 2016 at his home. He was born in Troy Twp, OH on April 6th, 1942 to the late John J. and Ada (Miller) Miller. Joe later married Sarah M. Hershberger on May 2nd, 1963. He was well know throughout northeast Ohio for being involved in multiple events. He was the owner/operator of Joe's Window Shop for 22 years. Joe also hosted the Bloodmobile and numerous benefit dinners at his home, cherishing spending time with family and friends. Joe was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be deeply missed by: his loving wife of 53 years, Sarah; children, Perry James (Katie Ann) Miller, Sylvia Marie (Danny Ray) Miller, Joseph (Saloma) Miller Jr., Betty Sue (Melvin) Byler, Richard (Susan) Miller, Raymond (Judy) Miller, Mark (Martha) Miller, Wayne (Judy) Miller; son-in-law, Philip Miller; 57 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joe is preceded in death by: his parents, daughter, Ruth Ellen Miller; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2016, 15020 SHEDD RD., BURTON, OH with Minister Joseph J. Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Marty Miller, Gideon Bender, Clayton Miller, and Eli Byler. Visitation will be anytime until the time of the service. Joe's final resting place will be in Hershberger Cemetery, Troy Twp, OH.
