William R. Byler, 87, of Middlefield Twp, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, May 5th, 2020 at his home. He was born in Middlefield, OH on July 28th, 1932 to the late Reuben A. And Mattie J. (Miller) Byler. William later married Edna M. Hershberger on April 16th, 1953. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be sadly missed by: his loving wife of 67 years, Edna; children, Andy (Sadie) Byler, Kathryn (Albert) Miller, Mary (Marvin) Troyer, Melvin (Laura) Byler, Bill (Valerie) Byler, Martha (Dan) Kuhns, Edna Mae (Andrew) Fisher, Fannie Byler, Reuben (Miriam) Byler, Martin (Martha) Byler; 73 grandchildren; 161 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
William is preceded in death by: his parents; an infant son; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., THURSDAY, MAY 7TH, 2020 AT 16824 NAUVOO RD, MIDDLEFIELD TWP, OH with Bishop Gideon Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Willard Hostetler, David Weaver, Allen Byler, and Dan Miller. William’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery in Middlefield Twp, OH. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. In lieu of attending, please feel free to send a card to the family at the visitation address.
