William J. Detweiler, 63, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully from natural causes Monday morning, May 30th, 2022 at his home. He was born in Chardon, OH on October 1st, 1958 to the late Jacob W. and Sara (Gingerich) Detweiler. William later married Martha Gingerich on May 28th, 1981. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his wife of 41 years, Martha; children, Miriam (Ben) Detweiler, Robert (Betty Anne) Detweiler, Christine (Albert Ray) Miller, Laura (Paul Allen) Miller, Clara Mae (Adam) Miller; 16 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Clara Gingerich; 1 brother; 2 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
William is preceded in death by: his parents; daughters, Ruth Ann Detweiler and Marcia Detweiler; grandson, Robbie Detweiler Jr.; and father-in-law, Simon W. Gingerich.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1ST, 2022 AT 14510 GEORGIA RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Walter S. Gingerich officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Gingerich, David Yoder, Danny Ray Byler, and Steven Troyer. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Williams's final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman, OH.
