William D. Byler, 79 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 1st, 2026, at his home. He was born in Huntsburg, Ohio on December 17th, 1946, to the late Dan J. and Martha (Miller) Byler. William is once again reunited with his loving wife, Sarah (Miller) Byler, who died October 1st, 2022. He was an Ordained Minister of the Mespo Northwest District and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his children, Katherine (Freeman) Miller, Laura (Melvin) Miller, Susan (Chester) Miller, David (Barbara) Byler, William (Kathryn) Byler, Esther (Roman) Yoder, Chris (Miriam) Byler; son-in-law, Allen Miller; 65 grandchildren; 116 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
William is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sarah; son, Alan Byler; daughters, Martha Miller and Ruthie Byler; and 5 grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 AM, SATURDAY, JULY 4TH, 2026 AT 10020 BUNDYSBURG RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Yost W. Byler officiating. Pallbearers will be Andy E. Miller, Melvin E. Miller, Marty J. Miller, and Robbie Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. William’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio.
