William Bender Jr.

William Bender Jr., 50, of Champion, OH passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, November 24th, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chardon, OH on April 8th, 1972 to William N. and Betty Ann (Detweiler) Bender. William later married Lynda Hershberger on June 3rd, 1993. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and Bishop of the Bristolville West Church District.  

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 29 years, Lynda; children, William (Christena) Bender III, Michael James Bender, Noah Ray (Amy Byler) Bender, Amy Elizabeth (Andrew Byler) Bender, Phillip Wayne Bender, Julie Anne Bender; 4 grandchildren; his parents, William N. and Betty Ann Bender; father-in-law, Noah J. Hershberger; 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

William is preceded in death by his grandmother, Viola Mae (Weaver) Hershberger.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 A.M., SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH, 2022 AT 3828 HOFFMAN-NORTON RD., WEST FARMINGTON, OH with Minister Eli M. Byler officiating. Pallbearers will be Levi Eicher, John Mark Byler, Andy Burkholder, and Wayne Miller.

Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 1841 State Rd., NW, Champion, OH. William’s final resting place will be in Troyer Cemetery, West Farmington, OH.
