Willard M. Slaubaugh, 88 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday evening, February 5th, 2026 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Middlefield, Ohio on January 2nd, 1938 to the late Martin E. and Gertrude (Miller) Slaubaugh. Willard later married his best friend and love of his life, Lydiann (Raber) Slaubaugh, on November 27th, 1958. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 67 years, Lydiann; Marian (David) Yoder, Ruth (David) Miller, Esther (Joe) Miller, Saranne (David) Wengerd, Sylvia (Allen) Wengerd, Daniel (Martha) Slaubaugh, Irena (Paul) Miller, Wilma Slaubaugh; 50 grandchildren; 116 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Willard is preceded in death by: his parents; son, Aaron Slaubaugh; 2 great-grandsons; and 1 brother.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH, 2026 AT 15947 NAUVOO RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop David Mast officiating. Pallbearers will be
Dan Raber, Daniel Weaver, Dan Yoder, and Freeman Slaubaugh. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 15942 Nauvoo Rd, Middlefield. Willard’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Road, Middlefield, OH. 440-632-0818.
