Terry W. Wells, 84 of Troy Twp Ohio passed away Saturday evening, October 12th, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Bedford, Ohio on September 17th, 1940, to the late Oliver and Isabelle (Roddie) Wells.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard aircraft carrier USS Forrestal CV-59. Terry worked at many different jobs including Lordstown GM. He was also a heavy equipment operator and owner of T&W Excavating. He enjoyed running the large dozers and excavators. Terry loved building race cars from top to bottom. He spent many years racing late models and 410 sprint cars around local dirt tracks. He was a member of Vintage American Race Car club and was actively driving his restored sprint car until he was age 82. He was generous, multi-talented, and always helpful and had many great friends.
Terry will be greatly missed by: his partner for over 25 years, Janet Bigam; daughter, Terry Lynn (husband, John Maniglia) Wells and son Scott Wells; grandson, Kyle Wells; best friend and racing
partner, Jim McDermott; little buddy, J.J.; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
