Shirley Mae (Mills) Scott

Shirley Mae Scott (nee Mills), 85, of North Bloomfield passed away peacefully at Briar Hill Healthcare Residence, Wednesday morning, June 17th, 2020. She was born in Cambridge, OH on July 29th, 1934 to the late Fred and Eula (Huntsman) Mills. Shirley is once again reunited with her loving husband, Ralph Scott, who died April 29th, 1998.

She was a graduate of Champion High School and married Ralph Scott on October 14th, 1961. Shirley retired from Kennemetal in Orwell after 17years.

Shirley also loved the many dogs she took care of, never turning away a stray. She enjoyed reading western novels by her favorite authors, William W. Johnstone and Louis L’Amour. Shirley also liked going bargain hunting at Goodwill thrift stores.

She lived at Briar Hill the past 2 1/2 years, making many friends with the staff and other residents.

Shirley will be deeply missed by: her daughter, Norma Buber of North Bloomfield, Randy Scott of North Bloomfield; grandchildren, Danny Scott and Alaina Scott; 3 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by: her loving husband of 37 years, Ralph; her son, Jeff Scott; parents, Fred and Eula Mills; brothers, Jack Mills and Jimmy Mills; and son-in-law, Leonard Buber.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH, 2020 AT SAGER MEMORIAL CEMETERY, PAINESVILLE-WARREN STATE RD., BRISTOLVILLE, OH 44402 with Pastor Luke Meadows of the North Bloomfield Assembly of God Church officiating.
