Sara M. Detweiler (nee Gingerich), 89, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, January 19th, 2019 at home while surrounded by her family. She was born July 21st, 1929 to the late Mahlon D. and Mahala (Yoder) Gingerich. Sara is now once again reunited with her loving husband of 64 years, Jacob W. Detweiler, who died October 22nd, 2013. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be missed by: her loving children, Marie (Irwin) Weaver, Paul (Edna) Detweiler, Leona (Melvin) Miller, William (Martha) Detweiler; 24 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sara is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Jacob; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., TUESDAY, JANUARY 22ND, 2019 AT 15550 NEWCOMB RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Marvin M. Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be David H. Weaver, Willis M. Miller, John Paul Gingerich, and Danny Ray Mast. Sara’s final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery in Parkman, OH. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
