Ruth S. (Schmucker) Yoder

Ruth S. Yoder (nee Schmucker), 71 years old, of Huntsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday morning, August 11th, 2025 at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Brentwood, Ohio on May 1st, 1954 to the late Joseph J. and Agnes (Bender) Schmucker. Ruth is once again reunited with her loving husband, Elmer S. Yoder, who died February 20th, 2022. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

She will be missed by: her children, Lester (Rachel) Yoder, Eli (Nancy) Yoder, Elizabeth (Michael) Slaubaugh, Emma (Paul) Yoder, Laura (Lester) Miller, Susan (Joseph) Wengerd, Sarah (Allen) Miller, Samuel (Elizabeth) Yoder, Agnes Yoder, Anna (Billy) Miller; 36 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD with Bishop Mervin M. Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Troyer, David Stutzman, Jerry Miller, and John Henry Yoder. Ruth’s final resting place is in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio.
