Ruth (Schwartz) Hilty

Ruth Hilty (nee Schwartz), 73 years old of Rome, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday night, June 6th, 2025 at her home while surrounded by her family. She was born October 22nd, 1951 to the late Rueben E. and Mattie (Schmucker) Schwartz. Ruth later married the love of her life and best friend, Samuel M. Hilty. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She will be missed by: her loving husband, Samuel; son, Reuben (Anna) Hilty; grandchildren, Verna (Danny) Yoder and Samuel (special friend, Marlene) Hilty; 1 brother; 5 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM, Monday, June 9th, 2025 at 5727 Dodge Rd., Rome, OH 44085. Pallbearers will be Wayne Miller, Danny Ray Erb, Myron Detweiler, and Chester Wengerd. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Ruth's final resting place will be in Fee Rd. Cemetery, Orwell, OH.
