Robert "Bob" C. Kumher

Robert “Bob” C. Kumher, 86, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, October 13th, 2019 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Concord Twp, OH on June 20th, 1933 to the late William and Elizabeth (Plohr) Kumher. Bob later married Barbara Mahoney on April 9th, 1960.

He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran who worked as an Air Conditioning and Heating Technician. Bob enjoyed hunting, Shooting, riding his motorcycle, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara; son, Kurt (Janet) Kumher; daughter, Karla (Tony) Lang; grandchildren, Alisha Lang, Daniel Kumher, Joseph Kumher; brothers, Bill Kumher, Don (Noca)Kumher Sr., Dale (Pat) Kumher, Larry (Linnea) Kumher, Roger (Diana) Kumher, Ralph (Louise) Kumher; sisters, Betty Gingerich, Florence (Ward) (Herst); sister-in-law, Kitty Kumher; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, brother, Dick Kumher; brother-in-law, John Gingerich; and sister-in-law, Kate Kumher.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 1P.M., SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, 2019 AT THE ATWOOD MACK AMERICAN LEGION POST #459, 14052 GOODWIN ST, BURTON, OH, 44021. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Bob’s family has requested to just bring memories to share.
