Richard "Rick" W. Reighard

Richard “Rick” W. Reighard, 71, of Middlefield Twp, OH, passed away peacefully Monday morning, July 25th, 2022 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Johnstown, PA on September 28th, 1950 to the late Earl D. “Skip” and Phyllis G. (Spory) Reighard. Rick later married the love of his life and best friend, Helen Westover, on, December 26th, 1970.

He graduated from Berkshire High School and then attended Denver Automotive Diesel College in 1970. After completing mechanic school, he returned to Ohio and started working at Farinacci Buick & Oldsmobile as an auto mechanic, ending his career as their Service Manager.  He established Country Lane Auto Care in 1995.  He often donated time, parts and labor for those that couldn't afford an automobile repair.  For 13 years he was a bus driver for Cardinal Local Schools, retiring in 2018. 

Rick enjoyed boating, camping, "spit-shining" his vehicles, yardwork, tinkering (he was the Jack of all trades), and supporting his grandchildren in anything they did.  Rick was an avid shark tooth hunter on any ocean/beach adventure.  Most of all he was the king of the remote.  

Rick will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 51 years, Helen; daughters, Sherri (David) Noble, Danyelle (John) Nagle; grandchildren, Breana Noble, Caeleigh Cope, Braydon Noble, Christian Noble, Laynie Cope; Emily Nagle, J.J. Nagle; siblings, Linda Glassburner, Lois (George) Fekete, Margie (Ron) Ellis, John Reighard, Cindy (Cliff) Yenyo, Paul (Kathy) Reighard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents; and brother-in-law, Tom Glassburner.

Family and friends will be received from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 28th at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., FRIDAY, JULY 29TH, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastors Roger Kruse and Mike Continenza officiating. Rick’s final resting place will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
