Portia Anne (Ipavec) Wolfe

Portia Anne Wolfe (nee Ipavec), 74, of Hambden Twp, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Mantua, Wednesday morning, July 24, 2019. Portia was born in Cleveland, OH on July 9, 1945 to the late Anton and Marie (Lallo) Ipavec. She married Ferdinand Wolfe on May 17, 1967.

She worked as a Hearing Specialist for nearly 30 years at Vista Hearing and Hearing Health USA. Portia also served on the Hambden Park Board for many years. She had been involved with St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chardon as a Greeter, Usher, and Eucharistic Minister as well as a member of the Choir. Portia also enjoyed singing with the New Celebration Choir, which raised money to send children to Camp Ho Mita Koda. She was a very caring and loving mother of three and devoted best friend to her husband.

Portia will be deeply missed by: her loving husband of 52 years, Ferdinand; children, Erica (Michael) O’Leary, Douglas Wolfe, Anne Marie (Michael Hayhurst) Wolfe; grandsons, Joseph and Eric O’Leary; siblings, Antoinette, Robert, Anthony; a vast extended family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joan Specht.  

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD FROM 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M., SATURDAY, AUGUST 17TH, 2019 AT GEAUGA PARKS DISTRICT - VETERANS LEGACY WOODS, 14085 RAVENNA RD., NEWBURY, OH 44065.
