Paul E Jordan Obituary

Paul E. Jordan, age 87, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away October 29, 2021 due to complications from Covid. He was born in Buffalo, New York on April 21, 1934, to the late Lester and Florence (Ehrne) Jordan, and was preceded in death by his loving brother, Bruce G. Jordan.

Paul graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army and trained new recruits while in the Army Reserves. He was also the top national salesman for Johnson and Johnson for many years. He and his (deceased) wife, Jane B. Jordan, originally lived on Grand Island, New York, later moving to Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where they raised their two children, Jeffrey P. Jordan, (deceased), and Gail A. Jordan.

Paul spent the last 35 years of his life residing in the small country Village of Middlefield, Ohio. He was very active in his community and through St. Helen’s Catholic Church, where he regularly served mass and assisted the elderly with their transportation needs. He and his long-time companion, Louise E.K. Glassburner, who often accompanied him, enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels together every week. Paul also participated in many of the trips and events through the Senior Center, and enjoyed his weekly game of pinochle. He and Louise enjoyed

taking road trips to visit relatives and always looked forward to their yearly vacations by the ocean in Daytona Beach, FL.

Paul loved to play hockey as a young boy, and played goalie throughout his college years. He was an avid fan of all sports and always had some kind of game on the radio or television! He was very passionate about his Catholic faith and would drive all the way out to the Queen of the Holy Rosary in Vienna, Ohio to attend his beloved Latin mass.

Paul will be deeply missed by his dear friend and confidant Louise E.K. Glassburner, as well as his loving daughter Gail A. Jordan, his 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews.
