Owen D. Wengerd, 68 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Saturday morning, January 24th, 2026 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Huntsburg, Ohio on July 15th, 1957 to the late Dan N. and Nancy (Mast) Wengerd. Owen later married his best friend and love of his life, Martha Mullet on May 10th, 1979. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and an Ordained Minister of the Huntsburg South Church District.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 46 years, Martha; children, Miriam (Marlin Ray) Mast, Mary Sue (Robert) Yoder, James (Rosanna) Wengerd, Owen (Kathleen) Wengerd Jr., Maria (Robert Jr.) Gingerich, Rebecca (Marvin) Yoder, Jonathon (Catherine) Wengerd; 43 grandchildren; 6 brothers; 7 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Owen is preceded in death by: his parents; a stillborn sister; and 1 brother-in-law.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, TUESDAY, JANUARY 27TH, 2026 AT 13499 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Raymond R. Mullet officiating. Pallbearers will be John Mullet, Daniel Burkholder, Joe Miller, and John E. Byler. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Owen’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio.
