Nora V (Baker) Douglass

Nora V. Douglass (nee Baker), 81, of Burton, OH passed away peacefully at Burton Health Care Residence Wednesday evening, November 20th, 2019. She was born in Georges Twp, PA on September 18th, 1938 to the late William E. and Virginia E. (Teets) Baker.

She was an active member of the Newbury Community Church. Nora loved doing crossword puzzles, going to church events, shopping, watching western movies, and taking care of dogs.

Nora will be dearly missed by: brothers, Raymond Eland, William Eland, Robert Eland, Edward (Millie) Eland; sister, Janet Nicholas; Lauren and Lindsey King, whom Nora considered “adopted” granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, and brother-in-law, Harry Nicholas.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 7 P.M., MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25TH, 2019 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating. Family and friends will be received from 5 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
