Neil F. Schmucker

Neil F. Schmucker, 85 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, April 28th, 2025 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Chardon, Ohio on October 28th, 1939 to the late Freeman N. and Fannie (Miller) Schmucker. Neil is once again reunited with his loving wife, Betty, who died June 20th, 2013. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

He will be missed by: his children, Carol (Melvin) Miller, Donnie (Viola) Schmucker, Neil Allen (Martha) Schmucker Jr., Albert (Elizabeth) Schmucker, Martha (Daniel Ray) Hostetler, Marvin (Esther) Schmucker, Mary (Samuel) Kurtz; 48 grandchildren; 118 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Neil is preceded in death by: his parents; his loving wife, Betty; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother; and 4 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, THURSDAY, MAY 1ST, 2025 AT 5223 DONLEY RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Bill Detweiler officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Erb, Norman Weaver, John J.U. Miller, and Aaron Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Neil’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
