Nancy M. (Detweiler) Kempf

Nancy M. Kempf (nee Detweiler), 83, of Mesopotamia, passed away Thursday night, June 4th, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Health Center in Warren, OH. She was born on November 21st, 1936 to the late Melvin R. and Sarah D. (Byler) Detweiler. Nancy later married Samuel J. Kempf on May 14th, 1959. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She will be missed by: her loving husband of 61 years, Samuel; children, Anna (Robert) Slabaugh, Sarah (Daniel) Fisher, Daniel (Amelia) Kempf, Ben (Anna) Kempf, Rudy (Lydia) Kempf, David (Nancy) Kempf, Allen (Martha) Kempf, Mary (Norman) Byler, Samuel (Barbara) Kempf Jr., Lena (Reuben) Byler, Aaron (Ellen) Kempf; 107 grandchildren; 116 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by: her parents; sons, Melvin Kempf and Monroe Kempf; 1 granddaughter; 1 great-grandson; and 1 brother.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH, 2020 AT 8120 STATE ROUTE 534, MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Bishop John E. Shrock Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Homer Yoder, Bill Hostetler, Melvin, Troyer, and Aden Yoder. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Nancy’s final resting place will be in Clark Road Cemetery, West Farmington, OH.
