Mose J. Miller

Mose J. Miller, 73 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday night, August 27th, 2026, at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Burton, Ohio on May 21st, 1953, to the late Joe and Ada (Wengerd) Miller Jr. Mose later married the love of his life and best friend, Ada (Kurtz) Miller, on September 14th, 1972. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and Bishop of the Hayes Corner District since October 7th, 1978.

He will be missed by: his loving wife of just under 54 years, Ada; children, Nelson Miller, Martha (Melvin) Hershberger, Esther (John Jr.) Slabaugh, Nancy (John Allen) Byler, Joe (Nancy) Miller, Mary Ann (Roman) Slabaugh, John (Viola) Miller, Linda (Freeman Jr.) Miller, Betty (David) Troyer, David (Carol) Miller, Susan (Melvin) Miller, Cindy (Mark) Byler, Sharon (Samuel) Miller, Ruthie Ann (William) Fisher, Robert (Alma) Miller; 73 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; 6 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mose is preceded in death by: his parents; 3 grandchildren; and 2 brothers.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, MONDAY, AUGUST 31ST, 2026 AT 14760 HAYES RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Minister Mervin E. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Amos Miller, Dan Fisher Jr., Mark Detweiler, and Melvin Ray Shetler. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 14808 Hayes Rd., Middlefield, OH. Mose’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery, Middlefield Twp, Ohio.
