Michael "Mike" F. Ramsey

Michael “Mike” F. Ramsey, 71, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 12th, 2020 at his home and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cleveland, OH on November 11th, 1949 to Floyd E. and Helen L. (Hein) Ramsey. Mike later married Kathleen “Kitty” Marek on September 30th, 1972.

 He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who enjoyed working on cars and drag racing. Mike also liked playing in a bluegrass music band with his brothers and sister. 

Mike’s greatest love though was spending time with his granddaughter and watching nearly every softball game as she grew up. 

Mike will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 48 years, Kitty; father, Floyd Ramsey; son, Michael Kent Ramsey; granddaughter, Erica Ramsey; 5 siblings; and many friends. 

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Helen.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED FROM 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH, 2020 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. The U.S. Marine Corps will conduct military funeral honors at 7:45 P.M. on Tuesday.
