Melvin A. Byler, 80 years old, of Huntsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, June 11th, 2025 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Mesopotamia, Ohio on March 14th, 1945 to the late Andy E. and Mary J. (Miller) Byler. Melvin is once again reunited with his loving wife, Esther, who died June 27th, 2021. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his children, Andy (Mary Ellen) Byler, William (Sally) Byler, Nancy (Dan) Yoder, Melvin (Laura) Byler, Freeman (Barbara) Byler, Atlee (Catherine) Byler, Erma (Reuben) Miller; 47 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Melvin is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Esther; 2 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH, 2025 AT 13430 CLAY ST., HUNTSBURG, OH with Bishop Lester L. Hostetler Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Ray Byler, Joe Hostetler, Joseph Kauffman, and Joe Kauffman. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Melvin’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio.
