Matthew S. Weaver

Matthew S. Weaver, 51, of Middlefield, OH passed away peacefully Friday evening, November 26th, 2021 at UH-Geauga Medical Center with his wife and children by his side.  He was born in Lancaster, PA on August 24th, 1970 to Marlin and Marilyn (Kreider) Weaver.  Matthew recently married his best friend, Kristina, on June 26th, 2021.

A huge portion of Matt's life was dedicated to his job at KraftMaid in Middlefield, where at the age of 14 he began painting barns as a summer job.  He was officially hired in 1993 and became the Plant Manager at Plant 1 in 2011.  He was proud of where he worked, proud of "his team" and thought of each one as a member of his family.

Above all, Matt is remembered for his fun-loving, larger than life personality.  A devoted Cleveland and Ohio State Sports fan, he cherished Sunday Funday as well as watching Ohio State Football on Saturdays.  Matt enjoyed many weekends at his family's cabin; hunting, riding four-wheelers, and hanging out with the family by the bonfire.

Matthew will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Kristina; children Peyton, Alexys & Rylee Fenselon & his pup Zeke; his parents, Marlin and Marilyn; mother-in-law, Joan Carpenter; sister, Michelle (Ed) Monborne; sister/brother-in-laws, Stan (Denise) Karey, Teri (Paul) Sines, Crystal (Jeff) Neikirk, Angela (Kurt Kriynovich; nieces and nephews; Chase, Zoe & Ally Monborne, Alayna Sines, and Kody and Kamden Kriynovich, as well as and many close friends and extended family.  

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Mildred Weaver, Eugene Kreider, father-in-law Earl Carpenter and good friend Greg Myer.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4TH, 2021 AT HORIZON’S CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY, 14920 WHITE RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., Friday, December 3rd, at the Church. Matt will be laid to rest in Middlefield Cemetery following the service.
