Matthew A. Detweiler, 15 years old, of West Farmington, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday evening, December 15th, 2025 at UH-Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH. He was born in Chardon, Ohio on July 9th, 2010 to Aaron N. and Alma (Byler) Detweiler. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his loving parents; siblings, Marsha, Adam, Timothy, Aaron Jr., Kenny, Mari Ellen; paternal grandmother, Sovilla (Yoder) Detweiler; maternal grandparents, David M. and Mary (Detweiler) Byler; great-great-grandmother, Barbara (Miller) Detweiler; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Matthew is preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, Noah J. Detweiler.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18TH, 2025 AT 4385 LARSON WEST RD., WEST FARMINGTON, OH with Bishop Joe S. Detweiler officiating. Pallbearers will be Andrew Miller, Marty Miller, Joshua Byler, and Marlin Detweiler. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 4375 Larson West Rd. Matthew’s final resting place will be in Clark Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
