Mary Grace (Rodriguez) Bohach

Mary Grace Bohach (nee Rodriguez), 80, of Newbury, OH, passed away peacefully Monday evening, December 20th, 2021 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, OH on November 9th, 1941 to the late Philip and Josephine (Cassela) Rodriguez. Mary Grace is once again reunited with her loving husband of 22 years, John W. Bohach, who died on January 5th, 2021.

Family and friends describe her as kind-hearted, loving, caring, stubborn, and hard-working. Her friends and family were the most important part of her life. She loved to cook family meals for all holidays or anytime someone visited her home. She also loved her dogs, Rusty, Bear, and Artie. Mary Grace attended both St. Lucy and St. Helen Parishes. She especially enjoyed meeting with the prayer shawl group at St. Helens. 

She will be deeply missed by: her step-children, Christopher (Lisa) Bohach, Robert (Shara) Bohach, Rick Bohach; grandchildren, Dylan, Corey, Brandon; nephews, Wendell (Kathy) Rodriguez, Anthony (Ann) Rodriguez, Bert (Lori) Rodriguez; great-nieces and nephews, Gary Jackson, Andrea (Michael) Schriener, Anthony Rodriguez, Josh Rodriguez; brother, Gilbert Rodriguez; God-daughter, Kimberly Phillips; and many other family and friends.

Mary Grace is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John; brother, Gino Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Violet Rodriguez; and beloved son, Brian.  

A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31ST, 2021 AT ST. HELEN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 12060 KINSMAN RD., NEWBURY, OH 44065 with Father Jay McPhillips officiating. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M., Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Grace’s memory are requested to be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org/donate and selecting the Northern Ohio Chapter.
