MaryEllen Knuth

MaryEllen Knuth (nee Torok), 81, of Austinburg, OH, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 26th, 2022 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born in Cleveland, OH on April 7th, 1941to the late John and Mary (Baunchenbak) Torok. MaryEllen later married Raymond E. Knuth Jr. on February 22nd, 1965.

She enjoying spending winters with friends down in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. MaryEllen also loved spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren. She also was known as one of the neighborhood moms to all of her children’s friends. MaryEllen attended many of her children and grandchildren’s events throughout the years.  

Active member of Our Lady of the Sea Church in Florida and Sacred Heart Church in Rock Creek, OH.

MaryEllen will be greatly missed by: her loving husband of 57 years, Ray; children, Mark Knuth, Regina (Tim) Knuth-Morris, Matthew (Leslie) Knuth; grandchildren, Marissa Knuth, Dylan Knuth, Matthew Knuth Jr., Alex Knuth, Ally Morris, Aidan Morris, Kodi Speegle, Connor Speegle, Kieran Speegle, Ralph “Stevie” (Hayven) Coss III, Samantha DiTomaso; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at Best Funeral Home, 3210 N. Main St., Rock Creek, OH 44084.  A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2022, AT SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3049 OH-45, ROCK CREEK, OH 44084 with Father David Bridling officiating. MaryEllen’s final resting place will be in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Austinburg, OH.
