Mary Ann E. Taylor Obituary

Mary Ann E. Taylor (nee Basta), 73, of Troy Twp., passed away peacefully Thursday morning, October 29th, 2020 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, OH on November 4th, 1946 to the late Louis and Mary (Aicher) Basta. Mary Ann is once again reunited with her loving husband, Robert E., Taylor, who died August 10th, 2010. Mary Ann was loved by everyone who knew her. She was part of the 1965 graduating class of Burton (nka Berkshire) High School and spent her 52 year work career, as an inspector, at Troy Manufacturing with what became her work family. She was an avid member of the Ohio Buckeye Dowsers Club for many years and enjoyed the mysteries of dowsing with her fellow club members who were like an extended family to her. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips and vacations with her cousins and friends. Mary Ann had a fondness for animals and was always taking care of the strays that came her way. She had a kind heart for children and all people and would give anything that she had to someone else. She would do anything for her friends and family. She brought joy to the room when she was there and she was always smiling and laughing. She had a warmth that made everyone she knew love her.

Mary Ann will be missed by her Aunt Rita Hendershot (nee Basta) from Orwell, Ohio, and many loving cousins in Ohio and Pennsylvania including: Cecelia Butler (nee Nagy) from Columbus, Ohio, Linda (Greg) Strohl (nee Nagy) from Stow, Ohio, Russel Hendershot Jr., from Orwell, Ohio and Bonnie (Roger) Reese from Willoughby, Ohio, Susie(Eckenfels), Richard Eckenfels, Bonnie (Roger) Reese Ellen (Mike) Reed, from Whitehouse, Ohio, Sandy (Mark) Tyler from Kirkland, Ohio, Robert (Miriam) Basta from Pearland, Texas, and Cynthia (Paul) Carson, and Jana Butler. In addition, she leaves behind many friends that were like family to her including: John Werronen, Peggy (Rich) Prunty, Jackie (Bob)Podboy, Joyce Martin Michelle (Chad) Haney, David Cseplo, Mary (Ron) Simpson, and Cathy Cseplo and many more.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by: her parents, Louis and Mary; and her loving husband, Robert.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE IN TROY TWP CEMETERY WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.
