Mary A. Datko Obituary

Mary Ann Datko (nee Geier), 83, of Middlefield, OH, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, June 15th, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Cleveland, OH on March 14th, 1939 to the late Phillip A. and Mary (Davey) Geier. Mary is once again reunited with her loving husband, John F. Datko, who died March 12th, 1999.

She enjoyed going shopping, playing cards, her glass collection and hatfield pork chops from Heritage Market. Mary also loved her precious Muffy. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Emma Lily.

Mary will be greatly missed by: her children, Dan Datko, Denese (Frank) Vierling; grandchildren, Nikki (John) Glass, Frankie Vierling, Andrew Vierling, Diamond Datko; great-granddaughter, Emma Lily; sister, Loretta Collins; beloved canine companion, Muffy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; loving husband, John F. Datko; son, John Datko Jr.; brother, Henry Geier; and sisters, Eleanor Fekete-Karel, Phyllis Balko, Jeannie Zdravecky; and Dorothy Reith.

A MEMORIAL LUNCHEON WILL BE HELD AT 2PM, SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH, 2022 AT THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 14999 SOUTH STATE RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
