Martha S. (Slabaugh) Yoder

Martha S. Yoder (Slabaugh), 84 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 8th, 2025, at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Burton, Ohio on May 12th, 1941, to the late Enos C. and Sarah C. (Miller) Slabaugh. Martha later married her best friend and love of her life, Jonas S. Yoder, on December 1, 1960. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

She will be missed by: her loving husband of 65 years, Jonas S. Yoder; her children, Owen (Elva) Yoder, Fannie (David) Schmucker, Barbara (Owen Jr.) Miller. Allen (Saloma) Yoder, Crist (Erma) Yoder, Norman (Mary Ellen) Yoder, Jonas (Christina) Yoder Jr., David (Miriam) Yoder, Abner (Fannie) Yoder; 62 grandchildren; 145 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Martha is preceded in death by: her parents; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, WEDNESDAY 10TH, 2025 AT 17417 TAVERN RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Minister Norman Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Lester Hershberger, Harley Hochstetler, Albert Yoder, and Paul Hershberger. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Martha’s final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery. Parkman Twp, Ohio.
