Marlene C. (Luoma) Sweet

Marlene C. Sweet (nee Luoma), 85, of Chardon, OH, has gone home to find rest and be at peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus, Sunday morning, August 9th, 2026. She was born in Burton, OH on December 6th, 1940, to the late Emil and Claudine (Adams) Luoma.   

She lived a simple, peaceful, and quiet life with her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Sweet.

Marlene loved riding horses, often competing in shows, dancing, boating on Lake Erie, and bicycling. She also loved dogs and volunteering time at the shelter.

She will be greatly missed by: her sons, Rick (Heather) Sweet and Randy Sweet; granddaughter, Mercede Sweet; great-grandchildren, Payton and Isla; and friends.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, brother Ken Luoma; and parents. 

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM, SATURDAY, AUGUST 29TH, 2026, 2026 AT CLARIDON CENTER CEMETERY, 13932 MAYFIELD RD., HUNTSBURG, OH 44046.
