Magi (Margie) Duncan, 71, of Munson Township, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Geauga Medical Center with family by her side. She was born to Donald Green and Barbara DeVaughn (nee: Keener) on October 6, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio. She married the love of her life and soul mate, Gayle Russell Duncan on December 7, 1985. They enjoyed loving each other fully and living life together. Some favorites were going to auctions and estate sales looking for interesting finds with a unique history. They also enjoyed finding cafes and restaurants where they could indulge in good food and each other’s company.
One of her biggest joys was working with the seniors, taking care of them, making crafts with them, and listening to their stories. Magi also loved crafting, attending many craft shows and classes. Card making was a hobby she loved, spending a lot of time personalizing the cards she gifted others. Magi was thoughtful and caring, and it showed through everything she did. A lover of peace signs and daisies, she was a hippie at heart. She took pleasure in reading, especially romance novels. Christmas was her most cherished holiday, always looking forward to decorating her tree.
She was the one you could tell your secrets to and know she would only re-tell them to Jesus, most likely in the form of a prayer. She loved Jesus. She prayed for everyone nightly and rejoiced in His name. She always made a point to tell people to hold Jesus in their heart.
Magi loved her family. She held them near and dear to her heart. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gayle; children, Shasta, Michael (Sueanne), Cindy (Jake), James (Samantha), Joshua (Jessie), Anastasia (Steve); grandchildren, Lyric, Zacharey, Maryssa, Drake, Nathan, Dominic, Jacob, Zoie, Wyatt, Leita, Gage, Dyllen; siblings, Don Jr., Shirley Jo, Kevin, Carl, Tami and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandsons, Darnell Prince and Jibriel Allen.
Calling hours will be on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Road, Middlefield, Ohio with a Memorial Service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers contributions in the form of stacks of hundreds or fifties can be given to Gayle Duncan ;-)
