Mae F. Hill

Mae F. Hill (nee Freeman), 104, of Columbus (formerly of Rome Twp) OH, passed away peacefully Friday night, May 6th, 2022 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Anderson, SC on August 10th, 1917 to the late Silas D. and Georgia Anna (Latimer) Freeman.  Mae is once again reunited with her loving husband of 57 years, Earl Hill, who died in March 1st, 2008.

She loved to knit and sew. She loved gardening. In her younger days, she belonged to the “12 Duchess” social group in Cleveland. She was a “room mother” at Rome-Hartsgrove Elementary School.

Mae will be greatly missed by: daughter, Patricia David, Bonita Harris, Earlene Hill, Cordy Bussey; grandchildren, Kim David, Jason Hill; great-grandchildren, Ebonie Hill, Jasmyn Hill, Destiney Hill, Lavyia Hill, Jaeda Hill, DeShawn Wellman; great-great-grandson, Kahlil Hill; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents and 11 siblings; husband, Earl Hill; children, Nadine Gilley and Onnie Halligan.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 1 P.M., THURSDAY, MAY 12TH, 2022 AT NORTH CEMETERY, RTE 45, ROME TWP, OH.
