Lester L. Detweiler Jr., 80, of Middlefield Twp, passed away Monday evening, May 11th, 2020 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp, OH. He was born in Chardon, OH on May 14th, 1939 to the late Lester L. and Fannie (Schmucker) Detweiler Sr. Lester later married Mattie J. Miller on January 9th, 1958. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be missed by: his wife of 62 years, Mattie; children, John (Mary) Detweiler, Betty (Reuben) Miller, Chester (Katie) Detweiler, Erma Mae (Ben) Weaver, Esther (Robert) Gingerich, Susan (Mark Alan) Miller Sr., Lester (Marie Anne) Detweiler III, Marvin (Maurine) Detweiler; 61 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lester is preceded in death by: his parents; 2 son-in-laws; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., THURSDAY, MAY 14TH, 2020 AT 16790 PETERS RD., MIDDLEFIELD with Bishop Andy J. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Nevin Byler, Roman Yoder, Andrew Detweiler, and Albert Byler. Lester’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, OH. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. In lieu of attending, cards may be sent to the visitation address.
