Larry M. Veasey

Larry M. Veasey, 76, of Middlefield, OH, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 12th, 2025 at his home. He was born in Cleveland, OH on January 14th, 1948 to the late Paul and Edna (Redig) Veasey. Larry later married his best friend and love, Tina (LoPresti) on August 2, 1991.

Larry played nose tackle in high School for Cathedral Latin.  He graduated in 1966. Shortly after, he enlisted In the US Navy.  Larry went on to work 25 years as a maintenance engineer at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital.  He retired on March 1st 2014.  After retirement, Larry enjoyed driving for the Amish and made lifelong friends.  Larry enjoyed traveling, camping, riding his bike and four-wheeler. Larry also loved attending all his grandkids events.  Planting trees, gardening, cutting wood and watching the birds gave him peace. Spending time with family was his favorite thing to do.  

Larry will be dearly missed by: his loving wife of 33 years, Tina; children, Ken (DeAnna) Veasey, Lynda (Gary) Popik, Paul (Laura) Veasey, Megan (Ben) Gibbs; grandchildren, Justin, Kelsey, Kayla, Vince, Tarah, Joseph, Adam, Henry, Abby; siblings, Ginny Ausperk, Jack (Sonia) Veasey, Barb (John) Owens, Jimmy (Barb) Veasey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents Edna and Paul Veasey; sister Mary Boos and her husband, Fred; and brother-in-law, Dave Ausperk.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED FROM 4:00-7:00 PM., FRIDAY, JANUARY 17TH, 2025 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 16150 Center St., Parkman, OH with Father Jacob Bearer officiating. Larry’s final resting place will be in Overlook Cemetery, Parkman. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry’s name are requested to be made to Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic, 6801 Brecksville Rd., Independence, OH 44131.
