For years I roamed the Ladue Reserve community. Local lore and social media postings rumored me to be a large “Panther”. I became legendary, my existence shrouded in mystery. I traveled at night and hid in the woods all day. It was a tough existence, dangerous and lonely. After months of exploring the new home construction in the area, I saw that people had moved in. Ultimately, they spied me on their Ring cam doing my nightly perimeter sweeps. Magically, food appeared! I was cautious….still not revealing myself. Then one day I caved and said; “Here I am, sick, cold and alone – take me in and help me!” The rest is history. The humans transitioned me from the porch to the house. I never went outside again. I learned to play with the pampered house cats. For the next six years I relaxed, filled my belly and expressed my gratitude. They called me a “good old man” and it was the greatest time of my life. On November 20th, 2024 I moved to the next phase of my journey knowing that I was truly loved and at peace. I am the “Ladue Panther” aka LP.
