Kevin R. Pohl

Kevin R. Pohl, 58, of Chardon, OH, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 11th, 2026 at the David Simpson Hospice House, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born in Wickliffe, OH on October 18th, 1967 to Arthur and Florence (Vnuk) Pohl. Kevin later married his best friend and love of his life, Michelle E. Kirby on October 19th, 1991.  

Kevin Pohl was an avid outdoorsman who felt most at home in the woods and on the water. He loved hunting deer, turkey, and occasionally bigger game, primarily with his bow and arrow, and found equal joy in fishing especially with his son Nate. A devoted admirer of German Shorthaired Pointers, Kevin appreciated their loyalty and spirit as much as he did his time spent outdoors. He was a true handyman, known for his skill and pride in his work, and many would say he was an artist when it came to drywall and mudding, leaving behind craftsmanship that spoke for itself. Deeply rooted in family traditions, Kevin proudly carried on the cherished legacy of family vacations to Miners Bay Lodge, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Kevin will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 34 years, Michelle; son, Nathan (Rachel) Pohl; granddaughter, Claire Morgan Pohl; sisters, Lisa Reed, Cindy (Bruce) Olds, Holly (David) Massucco; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.  

A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL BE HELD FROM 4:00 - 7:00 PM, FRIDAY, JANUARY 16TH, 2026 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062.
