Katherine (Oresik) Haslego

Katherine Haslego (nee Oresik), 95, of Middlefield, OH passed away peacefully at BriarCliff Manor Assisted Living, Friday morning, January 10th, 2020. She was born in Marion Center, PA on March 1st, 1924 to the late Adam and Mary Ann Oresik. Katherine is now once again reunited with her loving husband, John Haslego, who died in 1986.

She moved from Pennsylvania to Northeast Ohio in 1951 shortly after being married. Katherine spent many years volunteering at her Church and also for the March of Dimes. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially hiking. Katherine also liked to crochet and go to the End of the Commons store in Mesopotamia for her favorite ice cream.

Katherine will be greatly missed by: her daughters, Sue (David) Everett, Cynthia Godfrey; grandchildren, Diane Bozak, Michelle (Keith) Becker, Patrick (Shawna) Godfrey, Jonathan (Shirin) Godfrey, Joshua (Rosie) Godfrey, Rachel (Christopher) Bazan; 8 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; loving husband, John; and 7 siblings.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE AT 11 A.M., TUESDAY, JANUARY 14TH, 2020 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Father John Burkley officiating. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Katherine’s final resting place will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
