Karen "Kacy" L. Claar, 77, of Burton Twp, OH passed away peacefully early Friday morning, September 25th, 2020 at her home. She was born in Akron, OH on February 9th, 1943 to the late Helen R. (Park) Shook and Maxwell F. McDowell. Karen is once again reunited with her loving husband, Delmar “Gene” Claar, who died July 26th, 2010.
She worked many years at L.F.E. and Channel Products in Chesterland before retiring. Karen enjoyed crocheting, cake decorating, collecting recipes, her raccoons and other animals. Her main love though was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Karen will be deeply missed by: her son, Brian Claar; daughter, Sharyl Miller; grandchildren Bryanna (Brandon) Drabek, Leesa (Matt) Schwartz, Tiffany Dillon, Kimberly (Filipe) Do Prado, Ashley (Dustin) Meckley, Rebecca (Colin) Crouch, Brian Claar Jr., Laura Claar; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Marty) McDowell; her two special grandchildren, Henry the horse, canine, Hemi; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Delmar "Gene"; and siblings, Sharon Myers and Michael McDowell, and great-grandson, Bradley Claar.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE AT 5 P.M., SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2020 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Sunday.
