Judith Ann Politzer, 67, of Burton, passed away August 13 at Holy Family Hospice in Parma. She was born January 6, 1954 in Biloxi, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Lawrence Max and Catherine Ann (Hart) Politzer.
Judith graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Chardon and earned a BA in Art History from Cleveland State University and her RN from St. Alexis School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at St. Vincent Charity Hospital and Home Care for over 17 years and several other home care agencies and as a traveling nurse. She was a gifted cook and an excellent photographer, exhibiting pictures at local shows and offering them for sale in the gift shop of the Red Maple Inn in Burton.
Survivors include brothers Eric (Qinghuan), Bruce (Ellen-deceased), Brent, and Tom (Dawn); sister Susan Mullett; nieces Erin and Jennifer Politzer; nephews Jason Gaenzle, Justin Politzer and Matthew Politzer; and aunt Rita Politzer.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Best Funeral Home in Middlefield. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 am. on Wednesday, August 18 at St. Edward Church in Parkman. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Edward Church, Parkman or to Holy Family Hospice in Parma.
