Juanita L. (Britton) Speelman

Juanita L. Speelman (nee Britton), 79, of Burton, OH, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 16th, 2023 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, OH on August 22nd, 1944 to the late Arza and Virginia (Taylor) Britton. Juanita is now once again reunited with her loving husband, James L. Speelman, who died September 2nd, 2011.

She loved being with family, especially during Christmas which was her favorite holiday. Juanita also loved playing poker with family and friends.

Juanita will be deeply missed by: her children, Linda Wilson, Barb (Russell) Luff, James (Susan) Speelman, Deanne (Dave) Phillipp, Allen (Renee) Speelman; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Linda) Britton, Richard Britton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Rickey Wilson; grandson, Rickey Wilson Jr.; and brothers, Keith Britton and Clinton Britton.

Family and friends will be received at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, November 21st, 2023. A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 A.M., WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22st, 2023 AT THE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Mike Continenza officiating. Juanita’s final resting place will be in Newbury Center Cemetery, Newbury, Ohio.
