Josephine E. (Amato) Gause

Josephine E. Gause (nee Amato), 85, of Southington, OH passed away peacefully at Briar Hill Healthcare Residence in Middlefield, Wednesday morning, April 22nd, 2020. She was born in Middlefield, OH on December 2nd, 1934 to the late Joseph and Julie (Sherman) Amato. She is once again reunited with her loving husband, William Gause, who died in 2011.

She drove a school bus for Farmington Schools for many years. Josephine was also a licensed real estate agent and was a member of the Geauga Board of Realtors and the Warren Area Board of Realtors. During her many years of being a successful realtor, she worked for Virgil White Real Estate, Bazil Realty, and MD Realty. Josephine enjoyed being a hard worker for both buyers and sellers in the Middlefield, Farmington market areas. Her efforts were well received as she continued receiving repeat clients and later assisted with many of their children as they entered the real estate market. Josephine retired from the real estate industry July 29th, 1999 while working at MD Realty. 

Josephine will be missed by: her children, Delmar Moore Jr., Colleen (William) Southern, Chris Gause, Alan (Carrie) Gause;  brother, George (Jean) Amato;  many grandchildren and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, William; daughter, Julie Frances; brothers, Jim, Sam, Chuck, Joe; and sister, Mary.
