Joseph T Caldwell

Joseph T. Caldwell, 78, of West Farmington, OH, passed away peacefully early Friday morning July 18th, 2025, at home with his son Joe Jr. He was born in Cleveland, OH on August 14th, 1946 to the late Hollis and Roberta (Coffman) Caldwell. Joseph is once again reunited with his loving wife, Shirley Caldwell, who died June 28th, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents (Hollis and Roberta), loving wife (Shirley), daughter (Tammy Caldwell), and brother (Dave Caldwell).

He established Caldwell Tax Service in 1982, growing the business out of his garage. In 1995, he opened his Middlefield location, which is still operated to this day by his grandsons Aaron and Joshua. Joe served thousands of families in the Middlefield area over the years, becoming well known for his dedication and kindness.

Joseph will be greatly missed by his sister Carol, sons Charles “Joe” Caldwell and Adam (Denise) Caldwell; grandchildren Cassandra, Shawn (Marilyn), Jessica, Elizabeth (Fahad), Joshua (Rebekah), Aaron, Morgan, Jacob, and Emily Caldwell; 12 great-grandchildren including Jakayla and Jasmine Caldwell; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joseph’s passing left behind holes in our hearts too big to heal. And shoes too big to fill.

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 10AM, TUESDAY, JULY 22ND, 2025 AT ST. EDWARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16150 CENTER ST., PARKMAN, OH 44080 with Father Jacob Bearer officiating. Family and friends will be received from 4-7 PM, Monday, July 21st, 2025 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
