John W. Bricker, 83, of Burton, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 31st, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Middlefield, OH on September 4th, 1935 to the late Walter D. and Jemima (Weaver) Bricker. John later married Elizabeth Fisher on June 6th, 1957. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth; children, Martha (Nelson) Wengerd, Joe (Rebecca) Bricker, Chris (Ada) Bricker, Esther (John Ray) Miller, Lydia (Rudy) Kempf, John (Betty) Bricker Jr., Linda Miller, Edna (Vincent) Miller, Melvin (Ada) Bricker, Daniel Bricker, Ervin (Betty) Bricker, Robert (Rosanna) Bricker; 84 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John is preceded in death by: his parents; infant twins; son-in-law, Vernon Miller; 2 grandchildren; 1 sister; 1 brother-in-law; and 1 sister-in-law.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2019 AT 14414 BURTON WINDSOR RD., BURTON, OH with Bishop John Detweiler officiating. Pallbearers will be Mahlon Slabaugh, Lester Detweiler, Lester Detweiler, and Sam Frey. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. John's final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, OH
