Johnny “Lard” Lee Slusher, 60, of Bristolville, OH, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 4th, 2022 at UH-Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Twp, OH. He was born in Warren, OH on May 17th, 1961 to the late Virgil and Pearl (Cottrell) Slusher.
He was the one person in the world that would always give you the shirt off his back if needed. John loved hosting his annual pig roast for all of his family and friends. He was a life long truck driver in the asphalt business.
John will be greatly missed by: his loving companion of 20 years, Rebecca Williams, along with her daughter, Brandie (Thomas) Hall, who John always thought of as his own; siblings, Shirley (Dave) Hottenstein, Darlene (Jim) Chace, David (Terri) Slusher, Brenda (Jonas) Byler, Renee Addicott, Rita Slusher, Connie (John) Melvin, Rebecca (Donald) Church; grandchildren, Hailee, Benjamin, Abigail, Ethan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; brother Virgil Gene Slusher; and sister, Martha Smith.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., FRIDAY, JANUARY 7TH, 2022 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Pastor Brandon Byler officiating. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 6th, 2022 at the funeral home.
